JOB SUMMARY:

(States the principal purpose of the job and what the job is expected to accomplish) Group Head Quality Assurance (QA) will be responsible for developing quality and risk management systems hospital-wide. He/She would be responsible to have the quality-related programmes documented and well-managed on a timely basis with quality compliance functioning. The Head QA will be responsible for managing all QA functions, working with cross-departmental leaders to deliver high-quality services on schedule. From hiring analysts and QA officers to implementing audits, processes, and establishing and maintaining a quality system for the hospital. QA Head will ensure that policies, processes, and procedures conform to internal policies / guidelines and regulatory standards (ISO, SHC, JC, etc.). He/She would be responsible for the same functioning & managing at Group level – all the hospital campuses.

  • Develop and implement new ways of quality-related processes, procedures, and programmes to enable quality, safety, and risk management systems are in place.
  • Maintain a database of all the hospital reports, policies, survey reports, and relevant data for having a culture of continuous improvement and providing quality services.
  • Ensure prompt administration of all corrective action requests from internal & external audits and facilitate their closure as required by the hospital as well as by standards.
  • Conduct appropriate quality system assessments and compliance audits.
  • Maintaining strong overall quality control of services (Clinical and Non-clinical) made by the institution & adhering to reliability, performance, and customer expectations.
  • Will look into cost-effective measures, recommend and suggest as per the need of time.
  • Will prepare the Department (QA) budget as per the hospital policy.
  • Where and when required will prepare the hospital events, programmes, and sessions budget
  • Act as the principal Quality Advisor to the Chairman and Executive Management Team when the need arises.
  • Collaborates with other members of management to develop new quality tools & training methods.
  • Ensures quality by planning, monitoring, and appraising the quality top results via conducting educational programmes, events, sessions, and trainings to achieve the hospital / department’s objectives & requirements.
  • Develops a quality assurance staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Being part of all the quality and patient care – clinical meetings and quality programmes, and will head the relevant meetings and assure that plans are made and implemented.
  • Investigate promptly all relevant issues regarding quality drop-offs and recommend the implementation of corrective action on a priority basis.
  • Recommending strategies to improve compliance, streamline program activities, coordinate change management, and address inappropriate and unproductive attitudes.
  • Familiar with standard quality improvement tools like Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and statistical process control.
  • Work with the management to develop, monitor, and educate on the hospital quality improvement systems that drive improvement and reporting of patient outcomes through the use of evidence-based data and scorecards.
  • Oversees reporting and communication of quality improvement initiatives, quality findings, safety awareness, safety culture survey administration, and recognition activities.
  • Any other task assigned by Top Management & Chairman.
  • Impact Indicator – Customer Satisfaction and Commitment: Having good research on our customers, study the strengths & weaknesses of our services.
  • Safety Indicator – Quality: Verify that our services meet all safety measures and certification requirements as per the national and international standards, and performance management through audits. Measuring the need for safety – Risk Management Performance of the hospital.
